1st Time Platinum (macro focus got us there).

In one week time went from my average Gold 4 to Plat 4 for the first time. Tried hard, played duo with another gold player and we both jumped from Gold 1 promo to Platinum 4. Our duo main focus was macro play. On our road, i dare to say, we initiated more dragons, heralds and barons than our junglers did. Some junglers on the way were absolutely frustrating to play with as they never attempted to create situations to get objectives and rather would die chasing kills instead of helping us to kill dragons. As we got plat team mates, I notice, plat players still have very vague understanding about rotation, objectives and macro overall.

So what are you suggestions next, how can we improve and what it takes to reach Diamond ?

A thing I see a lot in plat games is that they often don´t notice when you can just rush the nexus and close the game. After an ace or a lot of deaths, after a baron steal/fight people just get confused and run for the next objective completely missing the point that at later stages in the game death-timers are high enough to win the game right there since more often than not the surviving players are not able to defend the base anymore if it gets attacked.

Of course, it depends on team-comps and the current state of the game. How much dmg you can put out and how much time you have for it is a lot of guesswork but it´s also a display of experience.
