Can anyone explain to me how akali is balanced?

Some background about me. I have a BS in mathematics, a MS in physics, and I worked for a few years at the Department of Defense as a research mathematician. I think I'm fairly smart.

Can somebody please explain to me how Akali is yet another assassin with incredibly high damage and very low counter play? Please. You know I wasn't confused when I studied Lagrangian and Hamiltonian mechanics, but I'm sure as fuck confused about how Akali is balanced. Please anyone explain it to me.

whats the point? faceroll noob champions beat noobs, noobs play master Q tryndamere etc...a few noobs mass games on these champs all the way to challenger, but deep in their hearts they know they are noobs, akali is not a broken champion, if anythings broken its no mana, all no mana champs are bullshit /thread.

In the first place, I'm fairly sure people on boards don't give a flying d**k about your degrees, if i studied japanese tjis doesn't mean I instantly know chinese too, same as you, your opinion on balance is not valid, no matter how much school you have. You played 1 game against her and you decided to make a very useful thread about Akali. Have you tried not going near her too much so you don't get Q-ed a lot, dodge the difficult to land E and if you are unable, go as close as possible to the turret while you are marked and not fighting her while she is in the shroud?
