Is Hourglass fine as is?

With the new AD item coming out next year, will this item need buffs? Some ideas:

The initial item get a little less AP in exchange for an additional Armguard passive.
You're able to leave stasis 1 sec earlier.
It gives some other stat, like MS or MR (that'd make up for the horrible build path too).

There's been little incentive to buy this item when you have Rylai's (and sometimes Gunblade or Gauntlet) as a self peel option. Heck, even Liandry's or Deathcap pretty much match it gold per stat-wise.

Then again, champions that have longstanding intimate relationships with the item (Fizz and Lissandra come to mind) seem to be doing more than fine. It's decent if you're just trying to survive too (not that anybody does that ever). Any thoughts?

I remember when Zhonya's was a core buy on every mid laner, essentially.

I remember when midlaners would just rush Zhonya's componenets without hesitation because it built out of Seeker's and not Chain vest like it used to. Would make AD mids' lives sad.

I honestly don't think Zhonya's needs any buffs. It's been a while since this item is actually situational rather than core. I have no clue why they increased AP on it to 120 back in S3.
