Auto Fill

So can I ask why auto fill is a thing? I mean, I know WHY it's a thing... obviously becasue nobody wants to play support and everyone just wants to play Mid, which is why if you play support then you get a temporary exemption from auto fill, and if you que up for mid you will have a much longer que.

So why is it, that when I que up regularly as Fill... it puts me in mid? Twice now. Is this possibly a sign that auto fill isn't needed, and that you need to stop putting players in positions they don't want to play because 9 times out of 10 they are just going to drop from the match and take the 5 minute que penalty rather than play something they don't enjoy playing?

I have an idea, howabout next we start making it so that there's a chance for you to pick a player's champion for them, so that champs that aren't played as much are forced to be played more. I mean, since we're on the subject of forcing people to play what RNG wills.

Auto fill at higher ratings fills ADC, jungle, and top more often than support.

No its not a sign that auto fill isnt needed.

Because of autofill queue times are not FUCKING 20 GOD DAMN MINUTES ANY MORE.

With out it we would hit some pretty high queue times, and I for one do not want that, I like my support queue times to be less than 10 seconds not more than 4 minutes.

Hi, main support here (recent Official post about the topic brought me back). I'v never been auto-filled in my life , but auto-fill still ruined some of my games, when the jungle drop the news and ask to be swapped at low-ELO you know the game is lost. Making it 'fairer' by autofilling two people doesn't help, it just decrease the experience quality for both team. It should be removed from ranked, people can handle and should be able to choose increased matchmaking time over this hell.

Also I dont think Riot Unlock all the champ of a role you'r auto-filling for , so you'd suffer an ability decrease anyway having a restricted pool available.
