Just got a leaver buster penalty because 5 times in a row during load in it said "You have been disconnected from the game please try again" and absolutely would not let me into the match, and my internet is fine. The instant my team was able, they did a re, ending the match and giving me the penalty. No doubt they all reported me for afk/leaving as well.
So thanks for that. Your system is just wonderful and really punishing people who deserve it huh?
Not sure if that was their problem.
Though you might want to write to https://support.riotgames.com and have them resolve your technical issues with your internet.
Note that in the case like this the problem is more often one of the points your data passes through between your system and Riot, rather than necessarily Riot's servers. If the issue is specifically on Riot's end we normally see a much more widespread issue.
I'm not blaming Riot for the connection issue. Moreso the fact I got a leaver penalty over something that was out of my control. You might ask how they are supposed to know... maybe because it's my first ever offense and at no time was I ever connected to the match. I figured that would be basic tech to detect that sort of thing.
