Amumu, why does Amumu do so much damage . . .

Like i was playing ahri with a zhonyas ( i think he does magic damage ) and a morel and void staff. I couldnt scratch him with 5 combos! Like it was so bad i couldnt even get away from him because his Q is on such a short CD that every 5 seconds he can just q back to me. He is SOOO tanky that with a warmogs and a spirit visage not even tower can scratch him. Like multiple times he, and a jax he was obviously partied with because he was on Amumu's butt all game, would q ->e ->r and i was dead under tower. such BS . . .

Well he is a tank. Ahri is an assassin/mage. Assassins and mages are not meant to deal with tanks unless they are fed. That is why you have adc's , its their job to kill tanks not yours. Tanks are supposed to counter both assassins and mages so that is why you are having problems with him. About his Q , its a skillshot - you need to dodge it , he lacks mobility.

Also ahri is pretty squishy herself and amumu does lots of sustain damage. Your best bet is to ignore him and go for squishier enemies unless you are really ahead.

My team was watching him as he chased me past them

there was a sion adc and an ori jungle if that tells you anything . . .

Well you do true damage so I'm not sure why you're not doing damage. Might be an exaggeration. However, he does percent health damage on his aoe. Couple that with cinderhulk and even a liandries and he will be shredding health. He doesn't do burst, but his sustained damage is astronomical.

he was doing burst, his ult took out 3/4ths of my health, and they nurfed ahris true damage to the ground. (it only does it on the way back on Q anyways, tbh i dont even know why its there its so insignificant) Maybe i should try just rushing a rabadons or a chalice into a rabadons

Well amumu is a tank with high base damages, as they tend to have. If he blows his whole kit on you, you being a squishy, it will hit HARD, especially if he has AP. Which is understandable. And you should be doing good damage as long as he isn't mega fed. You can't expect to beat him like a squishy, but a full Q-W-E will do about 1/3 in the least.

If you want to mitigate some, I'd build an abyssal scepter.

He also has good scaling too, which quite honestly he doesn't need. It's a problem with AP junglers. (Mainly tanks)

he has good scaling because he doesnt go full ap. there are cases where people will go hand grenade mummy but that is rare. typically jungle amumu is item 1401 item 3001 item 3151 item 3110 item 3065 item 1001

I think diminishing return values would sort it out easily. just decrease the scaling slightly every 100 ap after 200ish. I have played amumid though, and he can crush most mages and some assassins.

ok league of legends is like rock paper scissors: we all know the game right?

rocks are tanks, paper are sustained damage dealers and scissors are burst/assassins

paper beats rocks rocks crush scissors and scissors beat paper.

Amumu beats Ahri Vayne beats Amumu and Ahri beats Vayne

That's the idea. But it's typically not. Assassins and marksmen have the capacity nowadays to kill their counters due to overloaded kits and items.

No mobility except for a skillshot
