@Riot: I have a suggestion for Akali's E.
According to (https://twitter.com/ricklessabandon/status/595330137949741056 ), the reason Akali was nerfed so that her E does not trigger her Q was because of the combination of the range and not drawing Minion aggro for doing it.
it introduced some patterns in lane that weren't ideal (primarily the effective range increase and no minion aggro)
But the issue I draw with this is that Akali's E becomes a completely worthless skill that has no synergy with the rest of her kit at all. This is severely unhealthy design, especially for an Energy champion, as they are supposed to have to decide which skill to use with their fleeting resource. How is there a conflict or a need for strategic decisions when one of the options serves no value? She's better off just saving her energy for QR chains.
Therefor, would it be possible to re-code her E to be treated as a basic attack (similar to Yasuo's Q) that applies on-hit effects to the first enemy struck? That would allow her to detonate her Q much more fluidly while actually drawing minion aggro. Furthermore, judging from her passive, you appeared to be trying to make her into some sort of AD/AP hybrid, and allowing her trigger on-hits with one of her skills would actually reward her for building AD items with on-hit effects. As she is now, the only AD she ever builds comes out of Hextech Gunblade, rendering the AD portion of her passive largely unused.
built on her, able to proc the passive every .8 seconds (plus auto attacks), getting a ton of bonus health, and getting a movement speed buff every .8 seconds that increases on kills, making her sticking potential even more rediculous than ever before. This change will absolutely bring her back, probably even scarier than before given the item circumstances, and also give her some new life in new buildpaths.
