Why play a champion who requires even the slightest amount of skill
when you can just pick volibear or vi and just right click?
when you can just pick volibear or vi and just right click?
I'll be honest here, Volibear and Vi are easy to play.
But not easy to play effectively.
I hear a lot of "omg her ult recks no counterplay" and I'm rolling my eyes. Any champion with an engage or execute like that can kill someone with one click. I don't hear anything about Darius's ult having no counterplay in comparison (a little, but not nearly as much). But the truth is, using her ult as an execute is just plain wasting her ultimate's utility (not to mention the slightly high CD).
And Volibear is aa reliant. When he gets down on all fours, you cc him (seriously, the cc itself isn't the counterplay, it's when to use it. If you waste all your team's cc on the tank, don't bitch when Katarina pentakills your team with a faceroll) and run. Voli can be kited rather easily due to his lack of gap closers other than a speed boost. His roar is a bitch, so he is strong, but he can still be kited. Also, build Botrk if he's building health. If he isn't, he won't deal much damage with his W, so there's that.
What you described is ADCs.
The champions you listed need to press a button to win.

i laned vs voli like that recently as ahri at top, killed him 2 times, let my jungler and mid kill him else 2 times and then destroyed his tower
right click more :3
why pick a champion that requires skill when you can just mid and press R on as many people as you can?
I agree that there are some mechanically simple champions that can be hard to beat sometimes, but there is usually some counter play to them. But I do agree that some champions need updated kits because they don't provide enough advantage to warrant learning them over someone like Vi whose ult locks people down and most mids or adc's can get a kill with their eyes closed if you use it.
