Why does Baron excist?

Baron is a wonderful buff and has been used in numerous victorious in league of legends, But its importance needs to be stated. Its a buff, not a priority. I think I've won more games with out having it. But, certain players have decide to put an unfortunate amount of priority in baron, that it truthfully shouldn't have.

I can honestly say, I've lost more games going for baron then its given a win.

How can I say that? Its quite simple, After taking baron unless its 35 Minutes plus. Your going to have to back, there is no amount of damage early game that can sustain your team to be able to push directly after. It also does not win you a game, Meaning this. Because you have baron doesn't mean your going to get anything relevant to winning a game. IT can help, but doesn't mean it will. You still have to focus the right target, and group.

Observe this, I recently lost a game because half my team wanted baron and me and my jungler knew it was a terrible idea. Are opponent had two open inhibators, that just respawned. We had team fought and picked off 3, and everyone was alive. Bot lane was pushing and mid was at the half way mark. Top lane had an inhib turret and the lane was pushing toward there base. 3 People decided to go to baron and were sitting there raging in all chat because a lux ultimate killed two. Were the team went wrong.

It wasn't the baron call, we had low players. All 5 of us could take baron, but 3 people on there team had death timers over 40 seconds. At that point what to do is simple, Its not baron. Push top and get that inhib. At the bare minimum. Most likely it will force us to create a pick and make are advantage even greater. After taking that inhibator. We can take out the remaining ones. Since their turret's is already down. At this point if we got aced, the enemy team would be unable to push to win and the most they could do is trade an inhibator and take baron. But more then likely, your team will create more picks, back and the enemy will be forced into there base. If the enemy chose's to contest your baron bait, your will win. You could mess up the team fight, but at the end a couple of them will be dead. Your lanes will be pushing into there base. At the least one of there nexus turret's is being destroyed. You will get a lot more then that. Believe me, you will win.

In that example Baron is a bait. Thats it. Its not accounted for anything other then forcing the enemy to stop clearing the waves. If you look at baron abstractly and even in the LCS or LCK, its accounted for more teams loosing then winning. I can't tell you how many times i've seen CLG, commit to thinking that baron will get them back into the game. Then they loose there entire base, because they were aced at baron.

Don't get me wrong, baron has helped me stall out games, but for the most part. Its usually that icing on top of the cake, that lost me the game.
