No.

Then why do we still have all this crazy shit going on with instant burst kills, and why haven't any of the promised issues been fixed by the new system?

Because you're naive and actually believe Riot Games Inc. :)

So it is still preseason! Ha, I knew it.

Do you have a link for the "promised issues" that haven't been fixed.

GigglesO1 votes

Not the ones riot promised, the ones that the other players promised, you know the ones where everyone does batshit crazy damage, how runes do't fit all champions very well, and the current game state is pretty shitty?

Sp33d Zer01 votes

So you're complaining that promises from people who are in no position to make promises did not come through?

GigglesO1 votes

They defended Riot's actions, and claimed that it was only preseason, that it would get worked out. Now we gotta complain cause I guess its not preseason anymore.

Alright, well let's take a look at what has changed since pre season.

Runes have been heavily rebalanced and now EVERY character in the game has multiple viable options for runes depending on your playstyle and what you want. Certain runes are better for a general scenario without completely breaking every other runes viability. Fleet footwork on ADCs for example is generally the most optimal, but if you want to be agressive PTA is still a very good choice that is optimal for several ADCs and fleet footwork is showing up in games where you won't get pressured.

Riven is able to comfortably run Conqueror, Unsealed spellbook, and Aftershock - 3 entirely different trees - based off of what the match ups are. Sejuani is running both Aftershock and Fleet footwork depending on the needs for the match. Gangplank who originally only had Kleptomancy is now starting to run grasp more often, and we have enchanters making decisions between Aery for more balanced runes, comet if they want to optimize lane pressure, and some enchanters running things like Guardian and Spellbook as well. So runes are much better than they were and you have options there.

People didn't like how Stopwatch was blocking out AD assassins as the class felt bad on the whole. Stopwatch has been nerfed in sell price and active timing, duskblade has been nerfed and compensation given to EVERY builder of it so they have more choices, and tabi was nerfed so you could get more out of the lethality.

Tanks were super strong and everyone was annoyed by it. Now we have conqueror to deal with it and top lane is much more fighter centric in solo queue.

Guinsoo has been altered to be a more viable item on more characters and we are starting to see more melee friendly mechanics that ranged cannot abuse as easily.

New runes like Chrysalis and Bone plate have been added if you want to have better odds at surviving, but people want to do max damage so they ignore how valuable those two runes are for survival.

TL;DR, runes have been massively altered to be more viable for different roles and characters, items have had massive alterations to bring back underwhelming classes, we have a much wider viable selection of characters, the meta has shifted massively since pre season.

No they don't. What the fuck defensive option am I going to take as a solo laner? Mordekaiser

Grasp is shit.

Sure things were "re-balanced" but they are just as bad, if not worse.

Sp33d Zer01 votes

Mordekaiser's successful runes are listed as Phase Rush, and as Aery.

So you have a poke based rune, and an all in based rune. If you wanted something for defensive purposes, I'd be more than willing to guess that Fleetfootwork with it's AP scaling would be a decent rune for defensive purposes on Morde.

Besides that, if you want to play defensive on Morde, aren't you already basically losing because he needs to get ahead so he can massively bully? I'm not sure.

GigglesO1 votes

Where is my defense runes? You said they have every option. So where is it?

Sp33d Zer01 votes

Takes 3 seconds to look at mordekaiser's rune pages

Every single mordekaiser runs resolve secondary

It's right there. In your secondary tree.

Bone plating, Chrysalis, Second wind, and revitalize are all runes that are run on every one of his most popular rune pages.

Where is my never "live forever" keystone?

Its promised when I click on the defense tree. It was also promised by riot that we could play how we want. I don't want defense secondary. I want it primary.

Sp33d Zer01 votes

Then take grasp.

You literally have an option you don't want to take because you don't like it if you want defense primary.

Or take fleet footwork with resolve secondary and get healing from your autos with AP scaling.

Or take Domination primary or secondary and get the ability damage healing from there.
