Riot: We don't want champions to get hard countered, since that detracts from individual skill.

Also Riot:Mordekaiser

If you have two or more champions who can:

  • Apply a cleanse to themselves
  • Go invisible
  • Go untargetable
  • Become unstoppable
  • Kite/CC/Dodge Mordekaiser

Then you can make him into a non-factor extremely easily. If you don't, you'd better buy something to give you those abilities (QSS, Hourglass) or you're going to lose.

Seriously, this champ is DOTA levels of draft dependant.

Every Morde game goes into one of two situations:

  • They don't have a hard counter, so you crush them with little they can do to stop you.
  • They have a hard counter, so you just hope your team carries since there's not a whole lot you can do.

Both Aatrox and Darius destroy Morde and the last one has only one hard CC.

As long as he gets past lane, Morde crushes either of them easily.

If you have morellos to reduce healing, you just press R on them and beat them by virtue of having better stats.

Darius wins almost every 1v1s with Melees Late, lol.

Not against Morde.

If Morde ults a Darius and lands all his spells, Darius will die first.

As it turns out, stealing 10% of Darius' stats is kind of a big deal.

Mate, Darius is my second Main and I have played this Matchup quite a lot, even before the nerfs. Not once lost to a Morde in EUW Diamond Elo.
