I think pro play should "never" be balanced

There is too much of a difference between pro play and normal play. that any buff /nerf directly linked to proplay has 0 benefits for us as normal players. When sejuani and tp is nerfed, it doesn't impact is any positive way. There are no sejuanis in my game that are so dominant I cant function, nor is tp so viable that it will always be taken 100%.

What I'm trying to say, is that proplay balancing is actually disruptive to the rest of the game, and causes unnecessary ripples and destructions to the status quo of every other player. Unless your part of the top 1% of players, any changes made directly for lcs has almost a negative impact to your game, cause you have to spend more time fighting against the changes and trying to adapt.

The rest of us normal players don't play at a pro level, so its quite disingenuous to us, to be forced to go through changes just because 5 extremely skilled players, who practice with each other every week, in a team setting, vs the very best in the world, use a few repetitive or hard to beat strats.

While the rest of the playerbase does not play the game at a pro level, many watch the game at the pro level and deserve to watch a balanced game. A good compromise would be to make sure no champion is overpowered at either level of play and accepting that this will lead to certain champions being underpowered in one field or the other. Underpowered champions are far less problematic than overpowered ones.

I am not sure who is downvoting me, but I think diamond level is a fair balance between the 2 worlds. I am aware that people watch lcs, but lets be critical for a second. In a perfect world, what you say is applicable, however players come in a variety of skillsets, finding a compromise between both worlds would take more time and resources than one might be willing to spend.

What I really want to say is, if you had to choose between one or the other, I would think the smarter of the 2 would be just regular players. I am not sure how big lcs is, but I doubt they take up a majority of the league fanbase.

Balancing for diamond solo queue would be the worse of both worlds. It would only be relevant to 2% of solo queue players and a small portion of pro play. A much better compromise would be to nerf anything that is overpowered in either field with the understanding this will leave some champions underpowered in one or the other.

Also, there is no reason to choose. Esports viewership will be too important going forward to ignore so instead of choosing one or the other, just nerf any champions that end up being problematic in either.

That's fair, your just basically just saying the same thing I'm saying. Cause essentially I would rather things be looked at as a whole, rather than just for a specific group.
