Imo, I don't like the ward-clearing capacity of Duskblade. The whole control of vision is supposed to be more trinket-focused. If you play a character with a warding trinket, then you can provide vision to your team, you just can't take it away from the enemy. If you buy the oracles trinket, you can remove vision, but you can't actively place it without a control ward.
Duskblade basically allows assassin, the most mobile champs in the game, to both provide vision for their teams as well as deny vision from the enemy. This was supposed to be the jungler's job with the tracker's knife allowing them more vision control over the jungle, but when you give the power to roaming laners with one-shot potential, it just really undermines the functions of each role.
Riot has just been adding too much counterplay to counterplay to the game. There's too many second chances. The plants are a huge boon this whole season. Blast cone allows players to escape situations they should die in. Allowed immobile champions to make plays of mobile ones, invalidating the need for over-wall mobility at objectives like Dragon and Baron. The honeyfruit allows even weak junglers to clear relatively healthily. Scryer's bloom is basically a cone Ashe E that reveals invisible wards. There's just not thought process anymore. No debate of, "which trinket should I get?" because it doesn't matter.
"Is this lane warded? Can I gank here?" Doesn't matter, you have every tool at your disposal to make it completely irrelevant whether or not the enemy is warded.
There's just way too much in the game right now that is actually dumbing down the game. Before, there was a sense of caution with everything you did. There was always something that you couldn't know about the enemy team simply due to a limited scope of information, but now, now you can see everything. You always know where the jungler is. You always know where the wards are. You always know that if you fuck up, if you get caught, you have some method of getting out. You have too many second chances and honestly it does nothing but frustrate the people who play well.
These changes have done nothing but reward people who play like ass with more chances to play like ass. It makes people who play really well feel cheated. That it didn't matter how well they played because the other person always had a get-out-of-jail-free card up their sleeve and that is one of the most frustrating feelings. Knowing that you play better than your opponent and also knowing that there's nothing you can do to capitalize on that fact, rendering your personal skill moot.
