Why do people still get Triforce on Yasuo

Just why? is so much better right now. The damage and the crit damage (which got buffed btw) make it a better option. Sure, you have the spellblade passive with , but, later on, it's gonna proc every second Q, which will have shorter cd than the passive, whereas the crit damage from will apply on all Q and AA. I mean it's not like the ronin is highly depended on the other stats gives. Also, with and , you already get 100% crit. chance. In conclusion, has 4 stats which are useless for him: attack damage, which is very low, cooldown reduction, mana and, based on the point I made earlier, the passive, while everything has is useful.

Sometimes the utility of Triforce can make it worth getting instead of IE. I never do it myself personally but I know some Yasuo's do.

The stats from triforce that yasuo benefits from are health, crit chance, movement and attack speed. You can get defensive items that give way more health plus resistances, you can get berseker greaves for way more attack and movement speed with furor upgrade for movement boost.

Like I said, I'm not a fan of it personally. IE is just too important. But I understand why some Yasuo's do it. His damage is high enough that you don't really need an IE and the utility from triforce can sometimes outweigh the extra damage. It's not a choice I ever make; Shiv IE BT boots 2 defensive items is how I do it pretty much every game.

The Spell blade proc can be abused to really push down towers insanely fast on yas.

EDIT, didn't realize you meant people buying triforce over I.E. That right there is stupid. I.E is, and probably will always be, the staple AD item for yasuo. If they are buying triforce, it should be after Shiv, I.E, and BT

What got buffed? I agree on the fact that IE is better to get and trinity is not really usefull but IE didn't get buffed in any way. It got nerfed. And that nerf is noticeable actualy... Personaly, i never built IE on yasuo. Statikk->IE on yasuo with 10% crit in runes was so much more powerful and it gave you a nice spike in laning phase aswell...

It always provided 50% additional critical damage. Before patch 5.22 the tooltip said "Critical strikes deal 250% damage instead of 200%" Now the tooltip says " Critical strike bonus damage is increased by 50%" It basically says the same thing with different words. Imo the tooltip didn't need to change.

Yeah I dont' understand why people still build Triforce on him at all. Even Challenger players do it though. IDK, Infinity Edge was core on him for so long, why would you give it up now that you can reach 100% crit with just it + static?
