Newly released champions should not be allowed in ranked until at least a month after

Getting sick of seeing newly released champs ruin people's ranked game. Either they don't know wtf they are doing at all and lose the game for either side of the team or they are blatantly overpowered that they destroy everyone and snowball. Usually it's the former.

It's the same concept as not being able to play champions that are on free rotation in ranked. If you do not have them and not practiced with them for some time you just won't be as good.

So playing a champ that was literally just released moments ago ruins everyone's game...

Ehh, I think a month is pretty extreme, especially for easier champions to learn like Camille. Zoe is insanely hard to play so I can understand the frustration, but I think two weeks is much more fair. I hit level 7 Ornn and Kayn within 2 weeks of their releases, and I've played in ranked games where people aren't even level 5 on their respective champions. Two weeks also gives Riot the time to nerf, buff, or bugfix things that might make the champion unhealthy for ranked as well.

What about the people who had a month to practice them in the pbe. Sure some changes may be made but they should be able to make it work. Also what bout the poeple who played 10+ games as them in a week and learned them. About them being op, I don't blame your frustration. I remember day 1 ekko. This was before tank ekko became rampant during the tank meta bs with tank fizz but tank ekko was still a thing. He was cancer and still oneshottinng adc's. Just ban him if that's the case but if they are underpowered, don't pick.

Agreed... other get a teammate that feeds hard or a team that doesn't know what the new champ does.

I feel like there's very low differences between playing a champion that's new and a champion for the first time. I suppose mastery could be tied to allowing ranked but that then locks you out of champion pool for some nich picks or back up champions.

1 month is a bit overdoing it, but your logic is 100% correct, considering she was already on the pbe though

Only if we make them unbannable in Draft >:T

I just want to play Zoe*[sg-janna]*

YA! Or at least let us ban them this is BS!

It should be locked by mastery, not time. Some people learn champs really fast and would like to actually play them on release.

Most people however saw a clickbait video saying X champ is op and bought it with RP on release only to ruin ranked

Just report them. Feeding is feeding.
