Looks pretty cool. I see they moved his Cdr passive to his ult instead of his Q. The passive will help solidfy him as a tank mage too.

The base numbers on his skills are lower, but there are not really any ratio numbers over at surrender at 20. So my opinion is leaning towards this is a nerf untill i get more info.

Well one thing that probably makes his laning phase a lot worse is that he can't really harass with Q anymore if the enemy is behind minions

It's an opinion of mine so don't take it as a statement.

From what I see now Ryze has a highly improved AoE/waveclear and even single target damage while still fitting into the Tanky AP with spellvamp champion. While his Spell Vamp comes from his Ultimate and is a kind of "bursty" spellvamp his whole character now seems to be an outshine of what Mordekaiser was.
