Can be swapped for another one for a one-time fee of 250 gold, then is free to swap as often as you'd like.

edit: yeah, it's very handhold-y, but it seems like riot actually wants us to use these things to their fullest extent. i remember when people were asking for "ward slots" in early season 2 and riot was like "lol nah"
Kãtãrinã2 votesLearn 2 upgrade at 9 or when you have enough spare gold honestly. Shouldn't have to hold peoples hands. It already slightly self upgrades at level 9.
Deep Terror Nami1 votesThe only thing about that is we'd now have to learn to swap to the appropriate trinket pre-9 so it's free and upgrades into what we want, and also Yellow trink upgrades into 2 things so idk how that would work.
I don't see anything particularly bad about it except it seems to be an attempt to baby players that are too lazy or inexperienced to upgrade.
