Pyke will be good for League!

Hi all, So I neither play adc nor Support and really had very little interest in either. I play midlane (mainly mages) and jungle (mainly bruisers). I say this so what I say next will hopefully make sense.

Currently playing support to me feels like bending over for an adc and saying "stick it where you like." You are completely reliant on them not being bad, which is feels really bad to me. When I get auto filled I tend to resort to champions like brand and zyra and then get shouted at for taking the kills.

Enter Pyke. This a support champion that looks like a midlaner with the tools of a support. No ks problems, no issues with you adc sucking and you being worse off for it. Great for roaming/ganking other lanes, might not be as burst as Diana, but definitely going to do more than my malz.

This is a champion with a playstyle that will bring more solo laners like myself down to bot lane support. This means less auto filled players, and less worries when they DO get auto filled!

Pyke is going to be good for League. That's my opinion anyway.

He is awful for league because he isn't a support because his kit sucks for support. His passive makes it hard for him to go into any other role and therefore he will / should never be picked.

That is where each ability belongs.

This is also a champion that will either be very overpowered (his cd's or his P scaling). He will need early leads to do much of anything because he is so gold reliant so in the best of times he won't be able to go even and still do well (this especially a big deal with levels because of his passive not letting him buy hp and he needs levels to gain hp). So from a support main's point of view he is trash and will be fre elo for people just randomly wanting to play him bot or will stomp every game. Also some of my points are from the CLG team's point of views.

No it isn't. His kit is very much support, an here's why. You passive is a "grey health" that heals when you are UNSEEN by your opponents. This is why his W is perfect, it gives him his hp back. It also makes him very hard to keep track of which is great in bot lane. His Q is a hook that, much like thresh hook, synergises with his E to not only hook them in but continue that cc with a stun. Finally his ult in completely designed to allow him to ks, without negatively impacting his adc.

Have you tried him on PBE? Or have you just been watching youtube video's and going "wow that D1 just wrecked that B5. Pyke must be busted!"

Pyke isn't really weak early, his passive sustain allows him a lot more forgiveness when he gets poked out in lane. You can also use his W to your advantage to proc your passive. His Q + E + AA is a great combo and procs electrocute while also cc'ing with very little opportunity for response. He isn't broken, he isn't bad, he is exactly what he was meant to be: an Assassin Support.

I was wrong. After playing him a solid amount he is a support. But he is crap as an assassin and is a tank kit with an assassin passive and ulty. He needs a slight buff in sustain in fights to be viable
