+1 just because you made me laugh with the title and I have thought the same thing.

Did a flex queue where my whole team were solo players and we versed a full premade.

Was not fun to say the least. Haven't been back since

It's a good mode to practice champions in without feeling like you are completely wasting your time, also get extra rewards for getting to gold

I prefered it.

Its never been a real solo q so they might as well allow everyone.

Even now it isnt a SOLO que. Its a duo que.

Well back when we called it "dynamic que" Riot claimed the majority of players enjoyed it. Of course, that was just Lyte's typical bullshit, but maybe some players actually do. I'd imagine people who only play exclusively with friends would enjoy it, but if you're playing solo or duo I can't imagine anyone preferring it.

You prefer flex Q when you want to play with several people you know and they wanna rank. I mean it's obvious why ask?

I don't know if I prefer it, but it's what I played so far this season.

I figured I wouldn't care about it, so I could play it leading up to the big exam I have in May without getting so tilted from a bad game that I wouldn't be able to study (after a solo queue game if something goes terribly I'll just keep thinking about it and can't focus).

Once I started climbing and just got in a groove, it was kind of nice. I'm never in the group, but as someone who enjoys playing a farm-centered safe lane that works for me. They can always have a numbers advantage, and I'll stay even and outscale / out cs. If I get opportunities I go for them of course, but it's just that having grouped teammates seems to make them a bit more reliable (at least once I climbed past silver elo).

That said, I haven't played solo queue yet this season - and I intend to start around June to get gold+ there as well. Once I start I may not come back to flex.
