actually had the opposite happen to me yesterday, i got completely trashed in the most embarassing and frustrating way while my team thrived.
I can manage Darius, I can dominate Jayce, I can atleast be safe against a pantheon as leona top, but swain will always humiliate me and turn me into a bitter, salty ragebaby.

As a support main, I know this feel way too well.
The best part is when your only one ahead in the jungle, but your team always finds a way to blame you.
And then you rteam turns and blames you for not roaming despite the fact the jungle is camping you and the enemy is shoving lane to keep you busy.
Happens in 40% of all my games. Some idiot is 0/2 top lane before my first jungle clear. Whines about a lack of "help", like hey retard I came to help you and a 2/0 yasuo one shots you, I'm never coming back, just wait in the fountain.
