why doran's blade on kennen

you don't see other top mages like rumble or vlad start with one. what's the deal with kennen, usually I start boots and 4 pots.

Kennen has a very good base attack speed and he has strong early trades. A Doran's Blade allows you to take advantage of that by autoattack harassing the enemy laner and forcing them to respond to your poke. It can make him a very good bully, and the extra health helps to shore up his slight weakness to getting all-inned.

should I use any kind of AD runes or masteries? or keep them as ap

AP masteries will work a lot better because the early bonus they'll give you to AD is minimal. Runes are slightly debatable. Hybrid pen is nice if you have it (don't feel pressured to get them if you don't), but otherwise, either can work just fine. I'd probably lean towards AP/magic pen myself unless I was against someone that I really wanted to stomp before level 3.

Because Kennen AA harasses a lot in lane when compared to other AP tops.

Someone like Vlad or Rumble arent going to waste their time AAing because it is so damn weak (Vlad) or they are melee (Rumble).

Kennen has his mark he can apply with his AA, as well as having decent AD and ASP.
