Can someone explain Fiddle's new passive to me?

Haven't played him yet, but by reading the passive, I get the impression it's silly and awkward. Hit S until dread comes up, gain bonus MS, repeat? That's awkward. Am I missing something? Is it designed with his ult in mind?

Funnily enough, the timer on his passive and the channel time on his ult are exactly the same length. So yes, it is intended to help him reposition immediately after using Crowstorm.

Also, it benefits him if he can wait in a bush for a few seconds before walking out to gank a lane.

It is to give him mobility after using his ulti or W. Also useful for dodging skillshots or surprising people after waiting in a bush or something..

It works better than it sounds, the real downer is losing the pen and 50 fear range.

Reworking fears was a big nerf to fiddle. All feared enemies now run away from the mage that has to stand still to do drain? In Magic Christmasland it was better, but actually positioning it right was hard. New fiddle passive lets him catch up to feared targets after his drain, or as mentioned his ultimate.

Is it worth what he lost? I'd say so. Its better to have the tools to stay in range and do damage than do more damage but not be able to get it off.

After you ult of finish channeling W you move faster for a bit, actually sounds pretty good for fiddle
