Honestly, ADC's, not all mid laners can roam.

I play Azir, ALOT, and laning phase he's just straight up terrible in 1v1's without his turrets (except for a few exceptions). I play safe, enemy mid laner knows they can't kill me so they attempt to go bot lane. I can't just keep vision on them, it's way too risky because at any time they WILL kill me if I dare go down to the river. I call mia, and bot lane still attempts to shove the waves in, and then when the enemy Katarina goes down bot lane, they let Kat become 2/0. Now, they're just going to ping mia on me and ask why I don't roam. It's obvious, Katarina is going to kill me. End up having to mute everyone. ADC's, don't expect everything from your mid laner, especially when that mid laner is risking a death just so that you don't die.

What do you MEAN you won't follow Ahri down the river when the enemy Rengar is 5/1 and can kill you in 0.4 seconds from invisiblility?

I don't care if you roam, I'd just prefer if the roam was answered/punished in some way.

That doesn't need to mean following them if you can shove the wave in and chunk their mid turret in response (or roam the other way and make something happen on the opposite side), but sitting there last hitting under turret even as your opponent shows bot is not impressive.

That's totally fair, but don't start flaming when bot lane goes from 1-0 to 1-5 after 3 and 4 mans.

Wards can be cleared and don't last forever.

I dont ask you follow the assassin.

I ask that you shove the tower and punish, or roam top. Do something to make an impact.

I'm in Diamond and people still can't deal with shit like TwistedFate , Annie , AurelionSol , Katarina , etc.

I've pinged when Twisted Fate hits 6. I ping MIA seven times.

And they still want to initiate a fight in bot lane.

Then push your wave, punish them for leaving. You can't be expected to follow them all the time but likewise you can't just have 0 comtrol over your enemy. He's your laner and keeping him under control is your responsibility. Dissuade him from roaming by shoving to his tower, make him miss CS and XP.

ikr, when you are a low mobility mage and your enemy laner is an assassin that can one-shot you when if you facecheck a bush they're in, you can't really follow them around the map, best you can do is shove your lane and put pressure on their turret.

...but then you ping mia twelve times, your enemy midlane gets a double kill bot, and then they blame you for not helping... yeah right. Rinse and repeat until your enemy laner is so fed from other lanes that you can't deal with them anymore.

Spam pinging aler pings and retreat pings right on top of their face is a lot more effective than just pinging miss. I share your sentiments though, I've been in this situation way too often.
