So I recently got ekko (Woot i wanted him so badly.)

Anyways, so when i started playing him i went the AP path... and it was horrible. I couldn't do damage, I couldn't really nuke squishies. In fact i was doing so poorly i actually wondered why so many people thought he was over powered. I mean sure... his ult rewinds his clock 4 seconds. However most cc's still carry over with him if you ult before they get put to you. So there is that sort of counter mechanic.

My AP builds were things like Ludens, LB, and a deathcap and then counter build defenses.

However then i started to look at him in another way. He's more auto-attack based that I originally thought. So i started taking him AD. and oh my god no wonder you all want him nerfed to the ground. I can nuke targets in half a second by just dashing in with an E that's been empowered with a Q and my W on top of them. Most people just die that way.

I take Trin force, Hydra, attack speed boots, Zephyr, and then counter items in AD and let me say I've gone positive all those games. Now I may have lost the majority of them still (I can't really fight a 22/5 rengar who's fully built 22 minutes into the game) but Still coming out positive is something i was having issues with in the AP side.

So what is everyone's opinion on this champion? I know nerfs are incoming, what do you think they should be? (Please be reasonable. don't say that he already needs a remake because he can be balanced AP wise... now AD wise idk)

get 40 cdr then he is fucking crazy bouncing all over the place 3 sec cd q 40 sec ult lolz. morello > cdr boots> luden/hourglass/abyssal> lich bane> whatever.

ad is gimmick. i can see why it would be better on ekko then diana, kassadin, fizz, akali, lb, katarina

AP is pretty strong. Ultimate can one shot people if they are kind enough to stand on top of it. He is extremely different from a lot of champions and you need to learn when you can go in and when you can't. For me I need to thing differently then how I was currently playing, which helped me improve my play. His Q is somewhat hard to land from range, so I had to start thinking of where will they go to try and hit them. Also his W and R make it so you need to think about how you and your opponents are going to be moving so you can effectively utilize both of them without wasting them.

You can try AD Ekko for now I guess, but imo it isn't that great. If you were tanky/bruiser, sure, but since you are just going straight DPS, unless your opponents are bad enough to let you AA all day, you should be getting caught out and dying really easy. If it really is a legit thing, then it will most likely get nerfed as he is supposed to be an AP assassin.
