Cho'gath, maybe dealing to much true damage?

Now I just got out of a match with a cho'gath. i had little to no problems with him at all during the match. but then late game hits, and he walks up to me (Heimerdinger) and ults me. I watch myself go from 1.4k health, to 0.

Now maybe I'm just insane, but is that just to much true damage to have for an on demand ability? I don't even care that its an ult or even a melee ult. It just seems like to much. If you want him doing that much with an ultimate either switch it to magic damage vs champions, or a lot less true damage.

Anyone else agree with me on this?

You let a Cho walk up to you as Heimerdinger? How on earth did his fat, immobile ass reach you, unless you got Ruptured? If that's the case, he was rewarded with landing it. And if you had no team protecting you, then that would be another factor.

At max rank, Feast only does 650 base true damage; you're claiming you lost 1.4k health. It's got a 70% AP ratio, so this Cho would've had to have more than 1000 AP to get close to that amount of true damage.

You know what happens when Cho has that much AP? He's squishy as fuck. He's built to be the APC, not the tank. Your team needed to swarm his ass and kill him before he could do any meaningful damage. So was he full AP? Or are you exaggerating?

all of his abilities are completely overpowered, except his spikes maybe.

i mean, despite the animation being kinda whacky, his silence is completely instant. if he pressed the button, you are silenced 100% no counterplay. if he has rylais, he can then hit a rupture on you also without counterplay since you are silenced for like five minutes and then he can go and auto ult you, also without counterplay.

basically the counterplay on all his abilities is completely negated by the INSTANT aoe silence. if they would add some counterplay to that, everything else would be fine. even tho i admit, his true damage without any buildup or anything he has to do for it is pretty ridiculous, considering it also gives him like 700 hp.

To be fair, you are heavily exaggerating, because even at max rank and 700 AP his feast only deals 1140 (and that is a super late game full build Cho'gath). Against monsters he deals between 1400-1500 late game, but everyone seems to conveniently forget that his ult deals far less base damage to champions (300/475/650 to be precise), not the 1k base it does to minions and monsters.

honestly, yes.

i dont really have anything against chogath, but a true damage nuke on that coolown with that kind of base damage/ap ratio would probably never happen if the champion was released today.

even darius needs to build up 5 bleed stacks before he deals comparable damage. imo the only reason it even exists, is because hes an old champion.

its basically like jax e could dodge turret shots. there was a lot of crazy stuff going around back then, and chagath practically didnt change over the years.

Let me ask you this, Heimer, did you have any MR in your build? If not, then yes it seems like he does more damage because you don't have any resistance. Also, his ult does less base damage to champions than monsters, so its really not that bad. Stop exaggerating his OPness and learn to counter him. He's very slow early game, high mana costs, his Q is easy to dodge if you know how, and if you stay out of the range of his W you will be fine.

Cho'Gath is fairly OP but if anything I don't think its his single target ult burst that needs the hit

The silence duration or maybe his hp pool mid game maybe. I saw a level 10 Cho'Gath with 1,900 hp and nothing but one dorans ring for hp. That's kind of crazy. Maybe he had RoA...
