Was changed into a completely different champion. Only ability in his kit that remained was a variation of his old W shield. Any old Sion Main pretty much had their champion deleted.

Many people used to play old Graves as an ADC and had a blast doing so, but the overlords of our dimension decided it was his turn to become a Jungler, thanks to some weird auto attack mechanics.

Demacian justice subdues the world, and they got Galio, transforming him into one of their generic super hero slaves. His lore got completely annihilated and so did his kit.

No es numero uno hue hue. Mordekaiser was utterly raped and massacred in the Juggernaut update, I am guessing the PTSD will never go away. Eventually left to rot as an (ADC) though he can't go bot lane without being reported by his whole team, and then 3 people going AFK.

Although I have not seen many people even remembering old Nidalee. She was my favorite champion for a while. Nothing more satisfactory than taking 80% of Teemos health at level 1 with one spear. After rework, she was essentially deleted for me.

Turned into a scripter, this champion used to be fun to play, when he had his old ult.

Used to be known as the AIDs prophet. No longer able to function as anything other than a medicore minion mancer, that can't even control his minions.

This beautiful girl had a wonderful, marvelous short existence. Known as the knock up bot now. Maybe the upcoming PBE changes will revive her.

Mains most be ever vigilant as "thou knowest not the time of thy visitation".

Graves didn't have an identity. His "identity" was Bad-Lucian. Sometimes he was Good-Lucian and Lucian was Bad-Graves.

Mordekaiser's play pattern remains identical to old Morde. Giant suit of armor who's paradoxically a squishy burst mage, most feast-or-famine champ in the game because of his direct damage-to-shielding conversion, borderline useless because he's literally just damage but outdamaged by champs that are ranged, have mobility, hard CC, or any combination of the three, still walks out of fights with 1hp but a full shield.

Malzahar is still primarily a pushing based mage who melts people instead straight bursting them and pushes lanes hard with minions. Only thing I'll concede is that AD Jungle Malz is dead.

The rest of those champions are rightful erased. Those aspects of those champions became what they were known for because they were the most unanimously hated part of them by everyone. The goal of the reworks should be to remove those aspects because they're awful. Nobody wants "takes 80% of your HP with a spear that turns invisible when it goes through a wall because of a bug exclusive to her most expensive skin with zero items" Nidalee back. Nobody wants "200% AP eye lazers" Sion back. They were only ever those champions' "identity" because everyone hated them for those exact reasons.

Sejuani lore got destroyed on the Freijlord update. Now she is just a stupid stubborn women with greed of power instead of the leader that wanted the best for their land. She got rewrite into an Ashe's obstacle to overcome.

Which champion? The cheesy AP stun nuker or the cheesy farmbot melee carry with absurd sustain? Though yeah, making him a tank was a weird choice.

Literally two things functionally changed, his Q and his AA, with the latter basically just being a variant of his old Q. He's much better now.

His old kit was dog shit friendo, and had no real cohesion.

So this champion was actually changed for the better. He's much less point and click stat checky, but still has a similar feel, in that he still spams abilities off cooldown on you and walks up to mace you. Still not a great rework though because it didn't make him healthy enough.

This champion's identity hasn't so much changed as her numbers have been continuously nerfed because her design is inherently overpowered in coordinated play.

Still a machine-gunning mana-stacking battle mage.

Poppy Yep, Poppy. And before anyone gives me any shit that her old identity was cancer and had to go, no her old KIT was cancer and had to go. Specifically, her passive and her ult had no place in this game, and her other abilities should have been modernized. But before her rework she was a thuggish melee carry who scaled hard into the late game and thugged out. Now, she's just a fucking tank. Whooooooooooooooooooooooo! Why not give her a rework that modernized her kit and made her more healthy but still at least had the decency to keep her the same fucking class as the old Poppy? Instead of just making her a shitty fucking tank.

Karma was the beginning of the end.

Outside of the limited playerbase of her mains, no one else fought for her when they pushed that trainwreck of a pathetic mashup they called her VGU. Riot saw that as a sign to keep doing updates without care for their playerbase because clearly the community wasn't there to keep them in check and make them accountable.

Why are we so surprised now? There were signs everywhere. Yet, players continued to think their own champion was safe.

This is the result of apathy.
