S8 Idea for champ select
Instead of swap X champion with player, cant it just be swap position in pick order with said player?
- this prevents problems in the event the wanted champion is picked by the other team
- this prevents that discussion of, "who do you have" - which can cause accident dodges and a lack of focus on enemy picks.
- this prevents players from Lagging/forgetting/afking after agreeing to swap [which pretty much means gg if it happens]
opinions?
edit* this also disables the requirement of owning a massive variety of champions if you want to swap with someone. we all know orianna is one of the champions fine with first picking. soraka isnt. so why should the soraka player own orianna if she wants to swap position in pick order.
its not like riot gains any money off players with many champions unlocked. people usually only spend RP on champions on release of a champion[if theyre low on IP/BE], or on a smurf.
I also like the idea of role swapping. not only would this allow riot to force junglers to have smite. it opens the ability to make a summoner spell that allows the purchase of gold income items. this would remove targon schenaigans in the bot lane. allow more power to be put into gold generation items. but even if they dont decide to do either of these things, my main reason for wanting this. ->
F keys. when you enter a game, your role is your position on the scoreboard. your position on the scoreboard effects F keys. for anyone wondering what they do, they snap the camera to the player of that position on the score board [f1-5]
though anyone could fix this easily by manually swapping them. its just a QOL thing, that allows riot to balance certain items designed for specific roles.
