Top Lane Agency

Some semi random thoughts:

Top lane in the past did not contribute win conditions that were healthy for the game as a whole.

We had the win-my-lane snowballer who takes his tower than continues to take their line while being unmanageable.

We had the late game hyperscaling version of above snowballer that does the same thing with late game scaling later into the game.

Both of these guys pin their opponent to the lane because they take towers and push minions superfast so actually their opponent has to stay and defend the next tower. They are basically playing an extended laning phase with some interruptions from the game.

Then we have the tanks that just brickwall the lane and try and join the team sometime in the mid game. Which isn't a way for the top lane player to independently add to the winning. Also most top lane players i think prefer a more damage heavy play style with kill pressure on opponents.

"Come fight the fed riven" and "chase the Tryndamare" are basically not fun for anyone but the riven/trund.

What kind of other win conditions can we input into top lane? Are there ones that have high levels of agency, but also do not make the top laner an "I win this game" person? Is it a problem that some top laners can push minions and take towers too fast?

Nobody started using the word agency until Riot started using it now its overused as fk,

I don't consider it a problem and neither does Riot or Herald wouldn't be positioned Top side or exist, neither would item 3512 or item 3060 exist, for that niche champion(s) that take these items in the jungle ( Udyr ) well that is a different story entirely. Just don't snowball them is the only basic advice, tell your Jungler to gank (10/10 they won't because bot cluster fk is best meta).

I use it because it allows me to directly state what I want to talk about. Much easier than having to explain 24/7 that I am talking about the ability to influence the game (me carry, me lose) rather than winning a matchup or any of the other things.
