Mages are strong in every single potion wth
Jg Karthus top Vladimir Mid Lissandra and Zoe bot Cassiopeia
Supports that's just to be expected
but every one of these champions has like a 52+ plus winrate

Several champions with completely different strengths within the same class being played in different roles is perfectly fine.
Karthus can jungle because he has decent clear and can gank from anywhere on the map. Vladimir, Lissandra, Zoe, and Cass can't do that.
Vladimir can play top because he's the only medium-range mage who can rush enough defense to play into fighters and tanks.
Mid and support are expected roles for mages. Not sure why you said that for Support but then acted like it's weird for Lissandra and Zoe to be played at mid.
Casseiopia can be played bot because she provides sustained damage with her E similar to that of an ADC.
It is a problem when a single champion can be played in three or four different positions effectively, because no champion's supposed to be a good pick in every position. But when different champions with extremely different strengths are played in different roles, that's essentially the same as picking a champion from the class that usually plays that role.

awkwardly looks at mid-season 8 quinn
what are their pick rates ?
cuz you can have a high win rate and a very low pick rate in those roles
ill agree karthus jungle is strong

Here are the stats in diamond Kathus: 5% play rate,53% win rate and a 54% ban rate Vlad: 6.8 play rate,51% win rate and a 23% ban rate Liss: 12% play rate,51% win rate, and a 19% ban rate Zoe:9.9% play rate,52% win rate and a 17% ban rate cass:1.6 play rate,54% win rate and a 13% ban rate
and the average pick/ban rates are at 7%
vlad has always been a top laner. karthus is below the 7 % pick rate average liss is strong cuz she can utilize aftershock zoe is slightly above average pick rate as a mid laner cass has no pick rate for bot lane.
so as the OP states none of these are far out of line.
i mean its not like they are lucian with a 51.84% win rate 33.42% pick rate and a 43.58% ban rate in diamond elo then there is thresh at 51.94% win rate with a 29.23% pick rate and a 17.48% ban rate
just for comparison
kha is a 51.47% win rate 16.82% pick rate 24.23% ban rate in jungle riven is a 51.83% win rate 13.99% pick rate 9.84% ban rate in top
for mid lane we have a few that are strong yas with a 49.4% win rate 11.7% pick rate 50.3% ban rate LB with a 49.5% win rate 9.2% pick rate 21.4% ban rate Zed with a 50.1% win rate 8.5% pick rate 24.3% ban rate
so to say mages are dominating and overly strong is kinda of a misnomer . two things we know is tanks are bad, adcs outside 2 are bad.
thanks for showing that :D
wouldnt say 1 broken champ = mages are strong in that role
Yep, mages are ridiculously overpowered as a class right now.
They need sweeping nerfs.
now counter them with olaf mundo nasus maokai (insert poke adc here)
yep mages can go anywhere but the entire class of crit users are not good anywhere :) kindred lucian kaisa ezreal graves dont count of course since they only build crit late, if at all
holy shit I just realized I'm r%%%%%ed. "potion" i mean " Position"
Hey, can you guys who think mages are busted answer a simple question?
What does more damage; 1000 damage in one second or 500 per second?
The difference between burst and sustain is staggering, and the only reason why burst is a strong as it is right now is because players refuse to buy defense (due to the extreme abundance of external damage sources).
with 40% cd a mage can pretty much burst/poke anyone down fast as hell.
crit marksman have 5 core items they don't have room for defense
why is it that mages get to have a shit ton of damage with good defenses?
