Riot is really good and ruining a good time
Honestly, nobody would be bummed about NB not being permanent if we actually had a regular RGM schedule (that isn’t just swapping between Poro King and Ascension)
Even just one patch/month.
They werent wrong though. After a couple of days, Nexus Blitz kind of gets old
I just wanna yeet some kids into a black hole or play Graves on the Project mode even though he definitely should not be available there as an assassin type marksman. Is that too much to ask?
I think RGM's are better when they aren't "League, but X" but feel more like radically different custom games with different objectives like the old Warcraft 3 custom game days, but even when RGM was a thing all we got was "League, but low cooldowns" and "League, but ARAM, but with a big poro." It's so frustrating, I have more fun having different experiences than altered ones but those game modes never return.

For the millionth time, Nexus Blitz was an EXPERIMENTAL permanent game mode. IT WAS NOT GARENTEED TO STAY. They said it'll come back, so that's fine. Riot is going to test more of these sorts of gamemodes and eventually one will be immortalized.
I really didn't like nexus blitz. I'm sorry that it's gone for those of you who really enjoyed it, but it wasn't good for me.
I really hope that because they're taking a pass at ARAM they will take a look at Treeline next. That's actually my absolute favourite map, with quick matches and lots of bickering and team fights throughout. Maybe if they can learn why these three maps that they have installed permanently have such a solid following, they can build something that the players can enjoy on a more constant way.
