Within all of this hate, what do you like about this game?
Yes, there are so many things that we consider bullshit about this game, but what keeps drawing you in?

The waifus.
What I like: No two games are ever the same.
What I hate: They're starting to feel really close to the same.
It's still enjoyable if you happen to meet right people.
Addiction/habit
Invested money
Nothing more is good about this game any more. It's hit rock bottom if you ask me. If you lined the RIOT staff in front of me I would actually physically assault them , that is how much frustration this game brings me in last 2-3 years since it started going downhill.
Misery loves company.

I always come back because of the character design and how fun kits are to use. I love playing
and I don't feel like I can ever have a truly frustrating experience while playing them.
my stubbornness and my rebellious attitude to not be like the rest of the players.

When I’m not being instant killed by everything through 300 resistance and 8k hp, the gameplay of perfectly fine.
I like Zoe, Sona, playing bot games with my friends, and sometimes Blitz, and just the feeling of doing a good job supporting. I do miss the good days of being an enchanter with an ADC, but it looks like Riot is working to fix that.
The universe surrounding the game.
Honestly League's setting is something I really dig. It reminds me a lot of early WoW before some of the really outlandish stuff. You know. "WoW is a fantasy game so get into the space ship so we can fly to the demon planet and fight the alien demons in our holy spaceship"
Just wish we got more about the progression of the lore. Right now we're getting a ton of backstory telling but not too much present/future.
I think I just like wars. More wars plz.
######The Riven Yasuo story progression was cool tho.
The big problem is that Riot is STILL finsihing up character updates. By 2019/2020 we should be done if they keep the pace they're at but god damn if it isn't a slog to wait for it.
Reason why I'm still playing league while being unsubbed from wow. I honestly fell in love with wow with tides of darkness and beyond the dark portal. It created a world of fantasy with so much lore you could spend months on just trying to learn how everything is connected. After I unsubbed I did not find any game like it until a friend recommended league. Tbh I loved the lore of league I would read every champs story sadly they keep changing the lore/have two lines of it which I dislike
I don't like anything about it anymore.
The game itself, how it works. The champions. Addicted I guess.
I can hear "An ally has been slain" even in my sleep.
I'd be a lot more pissed at how much the game has devolved if I had paid for this, so I'm glad it's free
My friend and my ABSOLUTE FAVORITE CHAMP,
Actually LoL is my all-time favorite.
I like it more than shooter because it has more of the decision making in the makro level and is not so hard focused on reaction only. Also I like it more than RTS games like StarCraft because i like to play with one unit that i can lvl up and improve instead of multitasking with many units.
This game is very close to perfect in my opinion.
Try out World of Tanks / War Thunder, you may like them.
i played Warthunder a lot but it dont come even close to LoL
The art, the lore, the character design. I naturally am attracted to popular games (except the fucking fornite pubg bullshit). I only play competative/difficult games. It makes me feel better when I am ranked relatively higher in a popular game. really, the only thing I don't like is the balance, and the developers drive to make this game an instagib fiesta.
What I like about the game? The name probably?

I like these champs. Everything else I liked about this game has either been removed or completely changed. I'm a reasonable person, but it feels like Riot has done everything in their power to make this game less enjoyable to play over the last 4-5 years.
If they're resolved to leave Dominion in its coffin, I wish they would at least bring Ascension back. I liked Crystal Scar because champs that fell out of favor on the other modes could be played there to success.
3v3 is pretty much dead and I don't find Nexus Blitz or ARAM fun at all. I rarely play LoL at this point, even though I would like to.
If a game doesn't feel like season 8/9 (i.e. no fiesta lanes, no one shot champions, isn't a complete stomp, etc), the game almost always feels insanely competitive and it feels satisfying to win and to lose, knowing you played your best
All the bullshit about this game and hating it... . . . That Riot typically listens at some point, although sometimes I question the length of time.
It numbs me from how depressing my life is
All of the characters and all of the playstyles available
I like that i never rly play my champs the same way, i always end up playing differently or acting differently when playing Udyr vs where i play Yi same whit rakan and thresh or morgana or velkoz Not talking about my ww playing its a total goof where you can ult someone on top lane from their red pit.
The music team.
Nami.
ARAM and building a off build.
Kennen
the potential money you could make from streaming/lcs
My squid

I still like being a damaging fighter even though the builds that i run wont let me teamfight with allies because most adcs and mages think i should tank for 5 seconds before they start to do damage instead of trailing slightly behind their front line but in close enough range to start throwing out spells and autos after the tank/ fighter catches some one.
(wish that last one could be a warmogs but wont have enough hp to activate it. or be able to knights vow myself to turn the effect off and not get chunked out when some one else does something super stupid that i cant save.)
Ive never got this working but After 4 years im still hoping that a time can come where i can bust out ultra scaling Jax
next item is attack speed not important which one as long as it has at least 40% and enough other decent stats
/
/
(though sprit visage in its current state has too little hp and magic resist and
has too little hp and its passive is a little bad.) (/ if it ever gets a buff into having real the stats of a real item this would be the staple
)
Cancerous as it is half of it for me is generally the community. Sometimes i met shinning diamonds and that's always nice and sometimes I meet some of the smelliest turds which...depending on how shitty they are in what way can be entertaining.
The other half is just a promise to keep, addiction, or habit. Not leaning more on the 1st one more than anything.
I love this balanced gameplay, expensive skins I can waste my salary on, friendly non toxic community and RITO devs. THey are the most intelligent people on this planet and they make this game better and better each day. If it was possible I would donate them both my lungs, testicles and my eggs
What do I like about this game?

Only enjoyment I have in this game rn.
Piltower

I like playing Fiora top lane. Its fun.... like really fun.
the champion design, the endless opportunities for off-meta
though really, when they change characters that you like or like their aesthetic more than the new ones, it's just annoying
take gangplank. i loved the jolly roger but now he's just a generic ghost pirate person
what I don't like: problematic ideas that they choose to never fix
The overall game concept with it's mix of rpg, tactics, strategie and mechanics, though the balance that once was kinda ideal for me shiffted heavily towards mechanics and some strategic aspects while totally neglecting alot of the tactics, rpg and other strategic aspects we once had.
Beeing able to play with friends vs other players( i don't like shooters and not the biggest fan of strategie games when it comes to pvp)
The world, runtera is a very interesting place that is something different from the usuall fantasy settings
The art, it's a beautifull game with a rather timeless look, and it manages to merge many different settings together without anything looking really out of place.
The 'feel' of it, which mostly comes down to animations(and animation canceling), sfx and vfx. There hardly is any game where useing combos goes so smooth, orbwalking is so fluid and landing stuff is as statisfying as it is in lol, and it's right now probably the main reason why i still play it every now and then, and it's one of the things where many other mobas fail for me (Dota just feels like playing lol with 500 ping).
The growth of your champ, between items and lvl you just have this great sens of growing stronger as the game progresses
Tinkering and adjusting with runes/masteries and items builts on the different champs, though that part was once alot better, cause the suboptimal but fun builts were either situationally strong or atleast strong enough to work. Now for most champs they have set meta builts and anything else is just so far inferior that it really becomes a struggle to do anything.
The potential to get an individual lead, beeing able to get a gold and xp advantage for you're self just feels great and useing that advantage to be a big playmaker for you're team is awsome. This is one of the other big reasons for why i still stick to lol and where other mobas often fail. Heroes of the Storm for example is all in all a great game in in most aspects totally superior to lol, but getting an individual lead is not possible and it's somethin i'm really missing there. Closely linked to this are the differnt game phases: Earlygame(laneing) Midgame(skirmishes and Rotations) Lategame(teamfights around big objectives) which Heroes just lacks aswell. Though as it is, Lol also has less and less of it with every new season, to a point where midgame basically doesn't exist anymore and kinda merges with the earlygame.
That's a pretty good synopsis of it. The game itself is great, but the matchmaking system is what substantially diminishes its greatness.
Single-handed splitpush wins.

My friends and Neeko's LGBT repesentation. This is no longer League of Legends to me now only a hollow empty shell of it's former self.
