Why does this gamemode even count for anything? I've seen two silver players in solo queue with challenger icons because people just sell spots in challenger 3s teams for IRL money on eBay and because 3s are a joke.

Some people who play 3v3 could say the same about SR? SR starts off in a super slow pace takes too long requires more PvE than PvP and is just an all around headache
3v3 is fast paced and full of excitement. The map is smaller so the likely hood of running into the enemy is higher meaning you will have to outplay your opponent more.
It's just preference.
