Is my champ pool holding me back?

For the last 5 seasons I've swapped around between maining Top/Mid/Jg and have never had a problem hitting gold. I did actually get Plat a couple seasons back, and I'm pretty sure the main reason I haven't replicated that is because I haven't played enough games in ranked each season.

This season though I did a complete 180 and decided to try maining ADC (Which I have very minimal experiece with). After playing a number of normals in the role I finally felt confident enough to bring it into Ranked. As soon as I did that though, my win rate absolutely tanked. I dropped from Gold 3 to 0 LP Gold 5 very quickly. While there have been a few games I threw because of bad decision making late-game, in general I don't think I've been complete dead weight to most of my teams.

The main champs I've played are Varus, Jinx, Ashe and Jhin with a smatter of MF and Trist. I know that MF, Ez, and Trist are basically retardedly overtuned right now, but does my main champ pool seem like trash for this meta? Am I taking on too many champs at once for a relatively new ADC main? (Also, my recent Varus winrate is abysmal because I tried to copy a lethality build I've seen in high elo, but I can't pull it off. He is probably my best champ for the role atm)

Mid/High plat support main here! Take my advice for what you want:

1.) Most of those ADCs are very healthy right now - any of them could take you to platinum, easy peasy. You really don't get into champions preventing you going up through the ranks until you hit high plat and early diamond. For what its worth, my advice is to pick the one you think your best with a stick with it. Become a master of that champion and it will help you rise up. You should never be thinking about what items synergize the best with your current adc or what abilities do in the middle of a match. Out of every champ you listed, I'd say Varus or Ashe is currently the worst, but still fantastic in the right hands.

2.) Checking your match history reveals a troubling amount of information. Your death rate is surprisingly high. One of the best pieces of advice i can give you straight up is to focus on dying less. Shoot for 5 or less deaths per game, and your winrate will go up a lot. This might mean... playing safer, buying more wards, but your primary goal should be to die less, especially as the ADC.

3.) Remember that you are the most fragile unit on your team, and your goal should be to ONLY initiate when a tank or someone is ready to peel for you. Do not harass, do not get caught out, and stick with your team. Remember to build and plan around late game. Your death rate is so bad, that i'd recommend picking an ADC that has a reliable escape, like Jinx/Ezreal/Trist.

4.) Play safer, and let your teammates begin the fights. Your job is to finish them and apply damage after initial contact has occured. Positioning is absolutely critical as the ADC and Support - less so with Top or Jungle. Do not forget how fragile you are. A lot of people are quick to say its the meta of ADC, but no one talks about how fragile they are, and that hasn't changed at ALL.
