Fiddlesticks's Compensation

One of old Ahri's core items (DFG) was removed from the game. I don't want to get into the details of that, but the item DFG was consistently built on Ahri for whatever reasons. DFG was ultimately determined to be unhealthy for the game and removed. Since the item had by consensus become her core, she received a NICE compensation buff (movement speed on Q cast) in response to its removal from the game.

MAGUS enchantment was undoubtedly the best item to rush on Fiddlesticks (barring anomalies such as an early double or triple kill before your 1st or 2nd back). Although niche for many champions, this item was Fiddlesticks's core as a jungler. It was removed, and he has not received any compensation buffs.

His early game is now most definitely weaker if he decides to purchase runeglaive. If he does not (and as person who often play Fiddlesticks, I recommend you DO NOT buy runeglaive-- + x2 start is superior: fuck the machete), he is also faced with the choice of forgoing the upgraded smite as well as the bonus gold provided by machete.

Runeglaive is straight up trash on Fiddlesticks and a waste of gold. He has no mana problems. Yet this AP jungle item is balanced with the expectation that the jungler using it is in need of mana sustain.

I'm not asking for much, but can Fiddlesticks get some love the way Ahri did (immediately after the removal of DFG i might add...and i might add other DFG users did not receive compensation). Perhaps a simple increase in his mana regeneration. Or a slight movement speed increase.

It just makes Fiddlesticks players feel like dirt when he is straight up nerfed early game, then left in the cellar and forgotten, while things like Ahri, Lee Sin, Vi, etc. are receiving buffs. I'm not sure when the last Fiddlesticks buff was, I don't keep records, but it feels like all of his most recent changes are nerfs or indirect nerfs.

All said, I appreciate the balancing efforts. The Pantheon buff is solid (BASE ATTACK SPEED .625 ⇒ .644)...yet, by basically the same reasoning which justifies Pantheon's buff, Fiddle also deserves some love. A buff equal in magnitude to this Pantheon buff might be appropriate. A slight early game buff seems appropriate, seeing as his early game was nerfed by the removal of Magus.
