imo Fizz's ulti is a huge reason why Fizz is unfun to play against

Most assassins have very little/conditional cc. This is so that an assassin would have to burst a target before they get away, but will not have the ability to stop them efficiently. Fizz is an exception (so is leblanc, but her cc is a tether.) I can handle knowing that walking near these guys will result in me dead, but its not fun when 1 easy to land skillshot (in:b4 'fizz ulti is hard to land' comment) results in you indefinitely dying. I really hope rito tries to make his ulti less like a morg snare, and more like a zed e.

Fizz's ult is supposed to also be some form of soft initiation,

it's also being change to have damage based on how big/far it traveled, meaning it will be weaker if he uses it at close range.

and his ult is nowhere near like morgana's soul shackles.

Its most relatable to Zac's E, his slingshot.

and the reason fizz is unfun for many is his E, but to me I really dislike his old (current) W, as 1 auto does more damage than you'd think, meaning he an QW and use E to hope away resulting in some good harass.

As someone who has played fizz (and sadly played against) I think that the biggest reason fizz is unfun to play against is his E. I don't really have a problem with his ult, since it could be side stepped, but his E's aoe is just pure toxic to play against in a teamfight. Obviously his shark would be hard to dodge in a teamfight, but even so it's also very hard to aim at the backline (assuming your tanks are doing their thing). Fizz's E on the other hand... It dodges cc, skillshots, is a free zhonyas, and then lands to deal half your health in an aoe that can greatly turn the tide (hah) in a teamfight. But in a 1v1... heh let's hope you have flash, a heal, a dash, and a zhonyas.
