Autofill is really fucking up games

Getting inexperienced supports is the worst thing. Tried to allow A Thresh in my last game get off some stacks from his relic shield and dude just keeps hitting the minions and we don't get any gold. I lost CS and I fell behind. Asked him what was wrong and his said it was like his 4th game as support ever. Riot please I don't care if I have to wait 20 mins for a game but please put me in a team where everyone gets their role. If this was old champ select, everyone was prepared for any role but now we can chose roles so when someone isn't mentally prepared for the role they get, they don't play as well as they should. Please disable autofill.

I feel like Autofill is a bandaid fix. Rather than fix the underlying problems with the support role (the fact that you almost never get any credit for plays that you make happen, and have to spend half the game babysitting your ADC) Riot just decided to say "screw it, if people won't play support willingly we're going to make them do it"

I think it has a lot to do with players' mentality. I don't mind supporting. I feel good when I land my cc and help the team get kills/objectives. Other don't feel that way. Supporting is fun but I'd have to say the xp difference is pure bs.

No, You should have the ability to turn autofill off.. If I Q up for a game say.. Top/Mid.. I want to play Top/Mid.. I could care less if the rest of the league community has to wait in Q for a support.. I don't want to play support.. If I wanted to support, I would have Q'd "FILL" or "SUPPORT". The fact that Riot will force you into a role you don't want to play.. and expect you to happily play it for 20+ Minutes is absurd.

Well this is true cos they created the new champ select to do just that but it's doing the opposite with the autofill feature.

I feel that the real problem is the false promise of picking your roles, not actually autofill.

In season five, you couldn't pick your roles beforehand, first person on your team got what he wanted, and everyone after that just had to choose from what's left. This made everyone have experience and champions for every role.

Now, they motivate you to learn two roles, and then put you in another one you're not prepared for.

Riot please, bring pick order back.

I won't lie to you. I pref pick order. It made every game kinda different since you weren't guaranteed a role.

autofill should be something that only applies to higher elos, i don't care if i have to wait a extra 20-30 seconds just to get the role i want

I've been maining fill for solo q ranked, and I've been getting marksman who have no idea how to play marksman.

Getting filled into support while your marksman cant even fire in a straight line is so disappointing, like just fill me into ADC if this many suck.

This! I play morg supp with Cait ADCs (synergy of Morg's Q and Cait's W) but my gosh the autofilled Cait's don't know how drop their Ws quickly enough to get the target.
