Please realize those statistics only take plat+ games into account. Gold and lower, from what I understand, are not even factored in. So please, just stop picking, banning, or harassing a player for picking a champ when you are in gold elo or lower, literally ANYTHING works there. And as a matter of fact, from my own experience playing in those elo ranges, cheesing and off meta pics work BEST because they don't know how to deal with it. Any slight change of the norm will confuse those players and they will go on hard tilt because of it.

Champion gg is plat+. League of graphs covers all elos. Op.gg I don't know about

The issue is that everyone is usually on the same playing field (skill wise) and some champs are clearly better then others (the current meta exists for a reason).

This means that unless a person has lv 7 Teemo and 100+ games played as him, there is a 99% chance that they will feed the entire nation of Africa playing Teemo ADC.

You can still win (hey at lower elos anything can happen) but your chances of winning are much lower.

I had a ranked game today where a Pantheon was screaming at me in champ select not to pick Ashe. Said I would feed and I would be reported.

My support and I won lane and I went 12/6. We lost because Pantheon fed.

PS How do you lose lane with Pantheon?

Can agree. Off meta picks both confuse and scare people in low elos. You can pick basically anything, and as long as you don't make yourself look stupid, you're likely to turn the game into a stomp.
