Just Figured Out why supports aren't warding anymore...

Wards placed: 4 Grade received: S

Players are catching on to the grading formula. Wards apparently aren't needed to get an S. And players with high KDAs AFK farming to get their farm up even if the game becomes lost as a result because farm counts towards S grade? Yup. Because even if you are crushing the game, one unlucky death can knock you out of S grade.

Of course, these are exactly the reasons why RIOT didn't release the formula for success.... but eventually players start to catch on anyways. And if you think this isn't really the way to get an S, well, there are plenty of players who apparently disagree.

People don't ward because they're auto-filled crybabies.

champion mechanics is the most important on grading.

Most of the supports I play with still ward. Not sure what ello you're in, but I think you're being a little exaggerative.

Well, the values come from an actual game. So the 4 wards placed S grade received actually happened. It's a fact - not an exaggeration. My thread title is exaggerated, but I got your attention. So it was worth.

It my conclusion exaggerated? I think that's for everyone to think about. There's truth to what I'm saying here. It seems worth to point out that vision is (edit: not) highly valued by the grading system.

This is what I fear is going to kill LOL in the long term. Riot wants more teamwork, but they either don't understand how to bring it about.

S grades are just one of those things they are doing to encourage selfishness.

Haha, I think it's an exaggeration to say S grades will kill LoL. There aren't that many players willing to throw away winning opportunities to get S grades.

I think the teamwork issue is a bit deep. RIOT doesn't seem to get it and players don't seem to get it either. Role exclusion is probably the biggest flub I've seen in this regard. Players wanted it and RIOT gave it to us, but it was such a bad idea. Players and designers alike just not understanding something fundamental about the game of LoL. I think that was probably the most harmful thing RIOT ever did to the game and that it came closer to "killing" the game of LoL than anything else they've done.

I was really surprised that RIOT forced players to be role specialists when that is something players should arrive at naturally over time and should feel free to change when they want without feeling overly punished for doing so. I haven't figured out where role exclusion fits into any of RIOT's design philosophies either. Role exclusion should be a practice mode only sort of thing and has no place whatsoever in ranked games. That's why it worked so well in Teambuilder but was an absolute flub in ranked.

oops: minirant. Sorry about that, but I honestly feel that I cannot criticize role exclusion enough. It really is that bad.
