Why is no one talking about Sudden Impact?
I see a lot of complaints about Nullifying Orb (which I totally understand, there has always been an AP vs AD imbalance despite AD being easier to apply), but no one is talking about Sudden Impact.
If I understand it correctly Sudden Impact exists to give assassins and divers access to precision stats by being mobile. However, it seems extremely meta warping to the point that anyone who can take it is doing better than anyone who can't.
At it's core it rewards already more mobile characters just for being more mobile than their opponents. Have a dash or stealth? Get free stats for being mobile essentially.
Originally it looked like they were going to have Sudden Impact be a static damage boost and precision added to Eyeball Collector, which I liked a lot more. The concept there being if you were already snowballing it would grant lethality/mpen to snowball more which definitely feels more like what an assassin should be doing and rewarded for doing. Plus then at least there's some risk involved, because if you can't charge it up you don't get the free stats from it.
So, why the change? At present Sudden Impact is a little too powerful a rune. Particularly because you simply have a dash or you don't; you are not required to play well or do anything specific it's just always "on."
Anyone agree/disagree? I mentioned this day one of preseason and it seems to be flying under the radar.
