[Change Idea] Talon, the Blade's (boring as balls) Shadow.

Basically, looking at Talon now is like looking at Fiora pre-remake. No damage makes him useless. In every way. He doesn't have the CC to be real effective or impactful in big-room fights, and since his silence was removed with supreme justice, his ability to take down mages and casters was reduced, although not completely murdered.

I love Talon, don't get me wrong. I've played Talon for years upon years, but it's only recently that I've stopped roleplaying as Lee-Sin so I can see why people don't play him as much as, say, Zed.

Onto the point here. I'm going to throw down some changes that may or may not be radical, but hey, it's not my say to say whether it is or isn't. It's yours, LoL community. Get your popcorn and put on some reading glasses, mate.

==========================================

Firstly, his sub-par passive, Mercy. 10% increased basic attack damage to movement impaired enemies. Pretty boring, yeah? So you slow an enemy and you do 10% more damage with an auto attack. Whoop-de-freakin'-do.

How about this? Talon was, or rather, is still an Assassin, correct? (If you don't reply yes, you need to go talk to Doctor Shen.) So, how about something that ties to his past? According to lore on him, Talon took targets that Marcus gave to him, yes? Give Talon a name, a picture and a time frame, and he'll go along his merry way to mercilessly stab the victim at hand. So, why not use something like this for Talon now? Besides, he was never really a merciful type, was he? I mean, stabbing people for the sake of finding the man who beat you senseless in an alleyway of dank Noxus isn't that merciful, right?

[Passive] Hit Target
**Talon acquires a target at the beginning at the game, randomly from his enemies. They will not know they're being targeted. Talon gains bonuses for doing damage to, and killing the target. Talon's damage increases to his target as they grow lower and lower in health.

Talon receives a 'hit' on an enemy champion. (Sanctioned by Baron Nashor & Friends)
Talon gains an extra 10 movespeed when approaching his target.
Talon gains an extra 10% dodge after doing damage to his target, lasts 2 seconds.
Talon deals an extra 1% damage to them for every 3% HP they have lost.

Upon killing his target, Talon is given a 'Completed Contract' which can either be consumed to grant a permanent 2 armor penetration, or redeemed for gold.
**

How's that? The Dodge is a little weird because it's seen as a Jax exclusive thing, but I thought it'd make sense for this lithe, sexy...erm...assassin to be able to dodge an attack or two.

[Q] Noxian Diplomacy Basically the same thing, without the damage on the bleed. Moved it to Lacerate.

[W] Rake Talon throws 3 daggers in a cone in an area. They go through things and slow, and hit twice when they return to Talon. Ew.

[W] Lacerate Talon throws a knife at an enemy. The knife stays inside the target, granting vision and doing light DoT (does NOT disrupt Recall), until Talon either retrieves it via auto-attacking, or until they recall. If Talon rips the blade out of his the enemy, they bleed for 100% Talon's bonus AD for an additional 3 seconds, although it does not give vision. Noted that it's a bad idea. Sorry.

[E] Cutthroat Talon basically slows, marks and teleports to a target. Nice skill.

[E] Shadowstep Talon fades into the shadows, instantly appearing behind his target, and does extra damage to them for 3 seconds. In addition, Talon will dodge the first spell/basic attack after casting to his target.

[R] Shadow Assault I like it, it's pretty cool. Don't have any ideas for it, though.

Tell me what you guys think!

I mean, if talon got a target that changed every ten minutes or something and he got bonus stats upon killing them or whatnot it'd be kind of cool, but I don't really think he needs a rework that badly. He's still effective if you play him well.

Talon should get to choose who the first target is and then the other ones are random.

I mean, you actually have to combo right...

Naw. I like my freelo just the way he is.

Thanks for the feedback, but this isn't about playing him well, or playing him badly.

It's about giving this champion more...like a champion, and less of a copy of Ezio.

Talon is fine Hes what the title says A one time use heat seeking missile thats guaranteed to destroy enemy marksman He kit is straightforward and simple no need for flashy mechanics or big plays.

All of his damage late game is in his q critical striking people which is why ie and trinity is best for maximizing his burst

edit:holy shit that passive dank i would really love for something like this to be in the game i don't like the idea of his w change though but shadowstep sounds really cool

Can I get a red's thought on this, maybe? I don't know if any reds commented or gave any significant word on other Talon posts, but I'd like them to know what they think of this, because it's pretty unique compared to others!

im giving the idea a TERRIBLE rating

not because i find it bad ... but because that isnt talon ... it just doesnt feel like talon to me

talon is that guy from assassins creed who wears a cape made of blades for extra stealth ... his mover are simple but provide a big playing field that makes his gameplay richer than it should be

before you make a new talon you need to know which qualities of the old one he needs to retain for me the core points are his way of being simple in kit and having that feel of being both stealthy and attention catching at the same time he wont just stab you ... he will throw a fk ton of blades at you all while still looking slick and stealthy
