@Riot - Randuin's, New Thornmail, and Random Ruby Crystals

Why does Riot keep adding small component pieces to build paths? They are finally getting rid of the awkwardness that is Randuin's currently, with its two ruby crystals that feel so bad to hold. But now they are adding a ruby crystal to thornmail. Banshee's is the same way, with a null magic mantle.

Having all these tiny little components for the build-path feels so bad - trinity force feels good because each component does something. But this all feels over-engineered without considering itemslots and how that ruby crystal is really functions as just a combine increase for the new thornmail. Trinity is a rush item when itemslots are open; Randuin's and thornmail are for much later in the game when you need space for control wards and likely have a few items completed as well as boots.

The build path is similar to Titanic Hydra and no one complains about it. I think it'll be fine.

Yeah, I'm not too thrilled with the new concepts of items either, most item changes these days are bad in my own personal way of thinking. The main reason is I feel like every champion these days has some % hp dmg abilities and playing tank or trying to be tanky for my team tends to just sink myself because of random ruby crystals that just adds up more hp so I can get blown up faster.
I feel like building tank/tanky is useless in league now, so instead just build dmg seems to be the only way to go these days. Just my thought on the subject.
