Why would they change her ult the way they did? it changed her greatest strength as a jungler which was map pressure, she had the opportunity to gank top and teleport to get to bot to apply global pressure, now her ult literally just dashes to a marked enemy, this wouldnt be bad but if you think logically, it goes the same length as her tunnel dash, so whats the point?

Actually, the tunnel for the ult can go as far as it needs to for Rek'Sai to reach her prey. During the 0.75 seconds she's underground, she's still tracking her prey's location. Due to this, if the prey is say Tristana, Trisana W's away, flashes, and takes a Thresh lantern in order to get her as far from Rek'Sai as possible, Rek'Sai will still catch up to her and hit her if she already casted her ult. Rek'Sai only stops tracking when she is in flight to pounce onto the Tristana.
Yes losing the global pressure will be felt, but his new Rek'Sai has a lot higher damage potential with her passive + base kit + her execute ultimate which makes up for that loss considerably.

Hela1 votesyou are missing the point, reksai didnt use hers to go in she used it to go around the map. It didnt have to be offensive. Galio has to use his to go in by using it on an ally nocturne same thing, Reksais could be used to go near a drake and contest, or just to get to your red after recalling to base. Every ult is offensive now or defensive, hers could be used for what ever and it made it interesting. Galios is far range but not completely global and same with nocturne, reksais depended on tunnels and could be creative. It also had counter play if your counter jungled and killed her tunnels.

plus she needs the hp scaling back...
and she needs warriors blood-lust to not be bugged with her empowered autos
