Why Riot doesn't give out the formula for MMR calculation? Unless it is directly able to be hacked by an outside party (which I doubt), there is no other reason for Riot not telling us how MMR is calculated.
If there are other reasons, could someone plz explain?
I would guess in any game there's a behind the scenes formula of how to evaluate player skill. A game with a better formula will evaluate skill more accurately and hence have more evenly matched Games. Thus, such a formula is actually a piece of competitive information and Riot wants to keep it secret. With the sophistication of today's computers, even providing direct mmr values would make backing out a formula quite easy, which is probably why you don't see your mmr.
Same reason KFC doesn't reveal the recipe for their secret herbs and spices....proprietary information.
