To be completely honest this is not going to be a bad thing at all. I was around during the last ddos attack on Riot Games and quite frankly I believe that this will force their hands to improve their servers and safety protocols. Lets be honest guys, if nobody ever ddos threated video game companies then we would be stuck with shit game servers for the rest of that company's existence. I say let them come and I hope Riot Games learns from this event.
We just need to come up with a way to counter-ddos. Like an Anti-Lizard Squad Squad.

If they can cause mass disconnects and afk's to player's repeatedly they will ruin Riot's game by having the new automated leaverbuster system do it's low priority que and bans to every player they have affected. I'm not sure if Riot has a countermeasure to stop leaverbuster from punishing player's due to problems from hacker's but it is possible for the hacker's to do random burst's instead of repetitive attack to catch people off guard during their matches.
Thank God I don't play anymore. Not have to worry about it all.
Hacker groups are just children who haven't grown up yet and feel the world should revolve around them so if they see something they don't like, they do everything in there power to block it. These people need to be arrested for breaking the freedom of speech by taking down websites, servers etc they don't like.

I don't think there is anything Riot can do against DDosing or any server that's open to the public. At least that is what has been shown in the past anyways..
I doubt they are going to do anything, there is a big recent thing going on where people are claiming to have hacked Sony, Microsoft, etc getting personal details while the companies are denying any breach, these people just want attention. Stop giving it to them.
In theory they are doing this for a good cause. Getting us to get off our fat asses and go outside and enjoy the real world :)
