Oh boy! I'm so happy they decided to steamroll through the completely justified negativity and fear from the community and are releasing this item anyway. Apparently since they were so adamant about releasing this monstrosity, no logic went into what could possibly happen if it was released, and here we are.
I can't wait for Zed, Talon, Yasuo, and Rengar to be even stronger!

If this doesn't come out alongside major nerfs to every AD assassin and Thunderlord's AD ratio, may Morello save us all.
It just adds some security to assassination attempts which is really necessary with the current strength of adcs and mages. In the end if zed or rengar were already one shotting you this wont make them one shot you harder. Which is worse a zed --gibbing cait or cait completely destroying your team from 650 range with no way to kill her behind her traps, net and support alistar.
some select AD assassins slightly weak? just give everyone death mark! you get a death mark! you get a death mark! you get a death mark! rengar with death mark! zed double death mark! video games!

The item itself is less scary on assassins though, because it really doesn't give them anything they don't have, it just gives them a small bit more. I'd expect it won't find it's way onto Zed or Talon. It'll be scary as an offensive item on fighters though.
Pretty much 100% going to build it on Evelynn from now on.
To say that it is incredibly powerful would be a colossal understatement. It fundamentally changes the entire method of playing the game, with a combination of Thunderlord's Decree and her native spike damage, it will make her glorious.
I mean they had to give rengar some compensation for giving him counterplay.
The thing about this item is it triggers on any old auto attack (you have to hit a champ but that's hardly a requirement). It has a 2 minute cool down. My guess is its rarely going to be up when you want it, because you can blow it so easily. Actually, that's the main thing. THIS THING IS SO EASY TO AVOID (in theory anyway, we'll see once it hits). When Zed Death Marks you, your goal is to run away anyway, or cc him, or kill him...just generally you want to stop the damage. That hasn't changed. But now he's got a bit more security in killing you, but if he STILL hasn't killed you, he's just got this 3.25 k ball of stats item. Honestly that ball of stats should probably be a bit worse but its not the end of the world for this thing to get released.
F you took time to analyze it, or better yet if you were around when Rioters were discussing this last month, you'd see it's not broken and actually has risks and counter play. But of course it's easier to jump on the anti-Zed bandwagon in your OP.
