My only problem w. ith Riot right now

I feel that whenever someone on the boards makes a very valid statement against something that Riot does and provides situational responses (like those flaws in LeaverBuster), they cease contact with that person immediately. I feel that Riot should acknowledge the fact that someone outside of the PBE has discovered a flaw and make some attempt to correct it, while also voicing that they are going to fix it rather than completely leaving that comment. People just sit and wait after a Rioter has commented and they have commented back. Don't just dismiss it, please.

And 254 people is a lot, it's at least a good sample size considering that not all of them are on the same NA server.

From a statistics standpoint, 254 is a laughably tiny sample unless it's properly stratified. Assuming a community of 70 million unique users, 254 people is something like 0.000003% of the population.

I never said it was perfect.

From an earlier post by Joey Montague: It's been almost a week, we're not seeing the whole pbase being banned - so what does that mean? It's working perfectly.

Hmm.

If you've never been LeaverBuster'd despite all of the server hiccups, "LoL client errors", and DDOS attacks. THEN HOW CAN YOU DEFEND THE OP?

Mostly because the OP's root complaint is that Riot is avoiding open dialogue with community members that bring legitimate complaints to their attention. I won't say whether or not I disagree, but LeaverBuster isn't even the main point of this thread.

As far as LeaverBuster is concerned? I agree. I'm interested to see what happens with the new system, and I have no fear I'll ever be caught by it because I so rarely have performance problems. As Lyte has mentioned, it's unlikely players will be punished by the new system if they were never flagged by LeaverBuster.

If Riot does continue contact after a situation like this they always seem to switch over to word-for-word automated responses.

Could you point me to examples of this?

There is absolutely nothing wrong with LeaverBuster.
