The league system doesn't make sense.

The league system needs to be reworked. How does it make sense to move up by getting win streaks if the developers are designing the matching system to stop such things. It doesn't make sense that the league system is only based on wins or loses. It needs to be based on other things, either instead of in addition to. You shouldn't be docked points for a loss if you are a good player during the match meaning you have a positive score i.e. 8/3/16. There is no way to move out of bronze because it is just the place where all the trolls wind up and you cant get a win streak because the matching system matches you with less skilled payers so you can "bring them up with you." it is not a smart way to do that. it should put skill level with equal skill level against equal skill level.

There is a difference between being good at getting a decent KDA and being good at winning games. That said, I wouldn't be opposed to seeing some changes that might take some of the grind out of climbing.

I mean we could. But you're asking them to install a Willy Wonka elevator in a system that probably has absolutely no means of handling something like that. In a perfect world maybe.

Adding this after my initial post of course, but also this. The player's scores only play a part of what wins the game, since it's all about objectives in the end. I've had kills in the 20's before, and still lost due to fighting people who simply had a better hand than what I could deal. They had more team power and objectives. It simply is what it is.

The problem is if you want to climb out of an elo where your are only slightly better than, for example being silver level in bronze then you may need 500+ games to get there with this current system. However, if you're gold level you'll soar out of there. This is bad because players can never become gold level if they're stuck in bronze because bronze is so bad they barely improve. You shouldn't gain LP for having a good game and losing, but you should be gaining MMR based on good games and bad games, not wins and loses.

There are Elo Boosting services - People who EARN MONEY to carry accounts up. Their very existence is proof that this thread and all like it are hogwash.

It would be too abusable. You could too easily exploit the system by farming kda or padding stats. Which is contradictory to winning games (or at least is supposed to be, maybe not in this meta).

For those that said you dont need a winning streak to rank up you are wrong. You need one in order to get better lp. If you lose one game then all the progress you mad is ruined. the league system is entirely based on win streaks.

"PLACEMENTS Everyone starts off each new ranked season without a rank. The first ten games you play in each queue will place you in a tier and division for that queue. Where you land is based on the outcome of these games, the difficulty of the opponents you faced in these games, and your rank from the previous season and preseason. All players undergo a ‘soft reset’ at the beginning of each season, so your new rank will likely be lower than it was at the end of the previous season. You can read more about preseason here." -League system FAQ
