I don't understand Riot's love for an assassin that can farm from range indefinitely. Vs immobile mages he can just dominate lanes with easy thunderlord procs, nonstop ranged spam, far too much mobility and a now unsurvivable ult that like all assassin ults has a basically non existent cooldown and vs bad match ups he can just sit at tower and spam from range and just wait for a gank or do nothing lose the game and everything would be all the worse cause someone had to deal with this non interactive bullshit.

Giving him mana would make him fall out of place with Riot's "Ninjas use energy" theme. Think about it: LeeSin Shen Akali Kennen . Every ninja uses energy.

I've seen several zed mains claim energy is more restricting than mana.

They'd break down crying if this happened.

yeah i agree while i wouldnt enjoy the change in pace mana deffinently would increase zeds power. Nothing sucks worse than doing a combo ulting and then not having any energy for your spells ( THAT YOU WAITED TO COME OF CD ) the ability to only throw one combo and 1 extra spell per 20 seconds is actualy alot more handicapping than the benefit of having unlimited resources

Until you realize that his strong laning phase is dependent on the advantages energy gives him over every mana user, and that without it you wouldn't be able to get ahead reliably early game. And then you'd have to spend some of your more limited gold income buying mana. Then, even with the mana to cast that extra spell, you wouldn't have the damage to get the kill anyway.
