Does shielding help prevent Pyke ult?

Dear Summoners,

If I shield an ally during Pyke ult, and it's a big enough shield, does that prevent Pyke from killing them?

If your ally's HP is already below the required damage amount for Pyke to execute, the shield doesn't work.

If your ally's health is below the execute threshold, you would need to shield them for 1,111,111 for them to survive with 1 hp.

Thank you. So then i need to heal them.

If i get the heal off in time, then they will survive?
