If i pick smite, does it mean i can stay permanently at top lane and farm without needing to back?

You have to kill large monsters to refill it.

Not that difficult with smite.

it only refills it by one for each large monster so even with smite you'd be at a disadvantage plus it doesn't heal you that much or that fast for each compared to corruption potion

If your jungler doesn't mind giving up a camp its ok I guess, no reason to use smite though. Corruption is better in lane though.
